Surprises..

I just read my uncle's blog.. am freaked out by his latest post. Cos we stayed in his house overnight during the holidays in Malaysia. Lucky nothing happened.. If not I will cry..

I'm a freaking coward.

Thank God for being with us. Phew.

On a lighter note..

I had 2 surprises in a span of 3 days.

The 1st was from KLW. He is like the sweetest guy I will ever find.. And I'm real grateful for finding him.
Anyway, we promised each other no X'mas presents cos we spent quite abit in HK.
Of course I didn't treat the promise seriously.. So I bought him a pink Mickey tee.
But I really didn't expect any pressies from him.
I was so surprised to receive a Gucci Envy perfume from him and a bouquet of rose before he left my house.

This single rose is so cute..

It's so puny.. I don't know where he got it from.. but it really melted my heart. Teehee..

I love my guy. =)

The 2nd surprise came from my siblings. As usual, I didn't expect any X'mas presents from them. My silly bro only had $2 in his wallet 2 days ago so how can he afford anything??

I came back from squash training just now and my siblings told me that my mum's friend gave us X'mas presents. I was nonchalant about it since the presents that they give were usually things that I don't need... but the wrapper looks surprisingly familiar.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

It turned out to be a present from the both of them. Aww... The wrapper was made up of leftover wrappers im my house. Hehee.. So "creative" of them..

Anyway, I love the present. They bought me Phillips 10-in-1 styler... so now I can curl, crimp and straighten my hair. Hohohohohoh.. Happy happy happy. So suitable for a vain me.

I then proceeded to curl my sis's hair.

Pretty? pretty?????
Don't think it's the curler that is good.. It's my skills. Wahaha..
I'm going to have so much fun styling everyone's hair.. Including my bro's. Hee..
I'm blessed to have such sweet little siblings.

My HongKong trip

I have been back in town for 3 days and my HK-withdrawal symptom is slowly diminishing.

I really missed that place.....

The weather, the wanton noodles, the dimsum, the Cantonese, the attractions and the SHOPPING!!! Ohhh...... I missed the shopping the most.. Hee..

I want to go back there again...

It has been a great holidays for me.. Went on a road trip to Malaysia and then to HK.. I know I am not as active in hall activities as I was in the past.. But I have no more passion for the hall games anymore. Now I only attend games if my friends need me. Frankly speaking.. out of the 3 years in uni, this was my best Nov-Dec hols.. and yet.. it's going to end soon.. Boo..

Digressing.. Anyway.. back to my HK trip.

19th Dec (Mon):
Went to the airport early in the morning with only 2 hours of sleep due to my inability to pack my luggage at a more efficient rate. Saw 5566 in the airport... Those fans could sacrifice sleep to wave goodbye to their idols for a few minutes... *salute* I could hear the duty-free area buzzing with murmurs about 5566.. -_-"

Reached HK in the afternoon and the weather was great.. Felt like we were in Genting.. KLW loved the weather... Headed for the hotel and then it was off to shopping!! Hee..

On the coach waiting to be sent to our hotel..

20th Dec (Tues):
Woke up early for dim sum.. Yummy... KLW ordered alot of food.. yet it cost only S$10 per person. Cheapcheap.

We then went to Espirit and the stuff there were real cheap.. KLW bought a pair of jeans and loads of shirts for his family.. I bought shirts too.. for my dad and Jer.

This is followed by Adidas and Nike factory outlets.. More shirts were added to our inventory. KLW bought this funky pair of Nike shoes for S$60.. I might have been tempted to buy a pair.. but I prefer pretty heels and flats then sportswear. Hee..

A break from shopping.

I bought a pack of puff pastry from the shop due to KLW's recommendation.. It tasted really good.. I regretted not buying more.. Cos my mum finished those I bought back. =(

Dinner along Kimberly Road.
This is Roasted Goose.. It tasted similar to duck.. But the sauce was real tasty.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

KLW's You Ji Noodle. It looked sinful. I ordered wanton noodles.. I ate wanton noodles for the past three days that I was there. -_-"
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Dinner was followed by a walk in HongKong Island.
Times Square. It's like our Paragon.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We then took a cab up to Victoria's Peak.. Woah.. The view was breathtaking... I will post the pictures once KLW received from Ryan. He got a pro camera. Our camera just doesn't do justice to the scenary.
See what I mean? Only faces.. No lights, no buildings.. -_-"
Anyway, it was freezing up there.

Our 2nd day ended with more shopping near our hotel. Teehee..

21st Dec (Wed):
The weather became cooler and we were off to Disneyland!!! We wanted to go and visit the Giant Buddha on Lantau Island if D.L. was boring.. but it was definitely not!!!
D.L. virgins should pay a visit there before you visit the rest of the D.L.

There were many thingys that people could buy there. Piglets ears that you can pin on your head, headbands like the pink one above and also helmet looking things that resembles Stitch. Hee.. Of cos I didn't buy any. Waste money.. Hee.

We took photos with the Disney characters.. They are sooooooo cute. I know they are humans under the costumes.. but they act like they were the characters so much so that you feel like you are hugging your favourite cartoon characters. Teehee..

Minnie and kisses..

We love Mickey!

Silly Donald. I want to pinch his butt..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Pooh zai (That's how the Hongkongers call him. So cute!) and Tigger. KLW does a damn good job at impersonating Tigger's laughter.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Waiting to watch a 3D animation. The show was really impressive.. It was so real that we reached out to touch the characters.. Of cos.. we couldn't feel anything.
My mum said we looked damn ugly in this photo.. *chuckles*

We saw the parade.. It was so crowded. But it was interesting. All the pretty floats and cartoon characters dancing..

We took public transport back cos we didn't want to waste time watching the fireworks. A girl needs to do her shopping. Hee..
Their MTR is so cute... There are statues of Disney characters, plush cushion seats and Mickey handles.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm real glad that we went D.L. especially during winter. It's more comfortable then..

I then went back to Mongkok and went on a crazy shopping spree. I bought 8 pairs of shoes that night.. Hee.. Quite a feat eh..

We then had late dinner at this famous restaurant along Canton Road. The wanton mee was really fabulous. I don't think I tasted such yummy ones before.. Even Clementi's wanton mee lose to it.. *drools*

22th Dec (Thurs):
We woke up early to eat our last meal of dimsum.. and it was real cold that day..

The street our hotel is at.

The last time to climb up these slopes..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I must say that Hongkongers are damn good drivers.. some of their roads are damn freaking steep.. And they can maneuver on them with ease..

The HK taxi I often see on tv.. Hee.

I really love to travel.. and immerse myself in another culture for a few days.. Feels really great. I like to be a tourist..
*chuckles*

DIY Express Manicure

I meant to post this entry on last Sunday, but I was too lazy.

Jan went for express manicure and got herself pretty nails.

So here are the steps:

1. File the nails into a shape of your preference. I think squarish nails look better than rounded nails.

2. Buff the nails, on the surface and along the sides.

3. Spray the nails with water.

4. Slap on some moisturiser.

5. Wipe the nails with some nail remover.

6. Paint on the base coat. Let it dry.

7. Paint on 2 coats of the colour you desire. Let it dry.

8. Paint on the top coat. Let it dry.

Tadah!!!!
Pretty nails like this....................

I like the ring. =)

It's 5am in the morning....

and I'm sitting in front of my computer.

Need to come up with the itinerary for the HK trip so that KLW can pass to his friend later.

It's only 2 days away.. So exciting.

Anyway...........

I saw both my ex in town yesterday!!!

Wah.. buy 4-D also not so heng (or suay?) ..

-_-"

I haven't been blogging much cos I came to know of a woman. She has been taking up most of my spare time and I'm enjoying every moment with her.

Tee hee..

I'm not being lesbian-ic (such a word? Hah..)

It's just that I'm in love with the show Jewel in the Palace.

There must be some spell in the show that makes you want to keep watching it. My whole family is hooked.. Except Jerry.. He is more addicted to his Total Club Manager game.. I'm so glad my uncle bought the series.. If I have to wait for Channel 8/U to broadcast the show daily.. I think I will die of anxiety.

Speaking of tv, I'm real disappointed that the Weavers from the A*maz*ing*Race did not win the game. Instead it was the ucky Linzes that won. I was so affected when I know the results that I decided not to watch the rest of the show (I checked the results beforehand....)

Da Chang Jin is better eh. =)

On a total irrelevant note, KLW bought a pink checkered Guess? shirt just now.

He looks GORGEOUS in it!!!!!

We saw the shirt in August and I wanted him to buy it.. But it cost $100 plus then. So not worth spending that kind of money.

However, there is a sale going on now and it costs only $58. I think that's cheap considering how good he looks in it. He was reluctant to buy it a first cos there's not much occasions to wear it.. But I'm sure there will be weddings or clubbing sessions for the shirt to make a grand appearance.

Digression: Not all guys can carry of pink.. But it just happens that both KLW and Jerry looks damn good in my favourite colour. =)

MoS has opened in town.
Ali dear... Let's check it out soon k? I'm so sorry I haven't meet up with you yet!!!! Sorry sorry...... =P

Ok, I'm tired now.. But I haven't come up with the itinerary..

Argh.....

I'm back...

Am pimply and fat now. I look like guang mei.. =(

All thanks to the sinful food I have been consuming the past week.

char kway teow, laksa, ice kachang, chendol, bobochacha, all sorts of seafood yada yada yada.......
The food tasted heavenly!!!~

The Penang laksa in S'pore is bullshit I tell you.. Cannot be compared with the anuthentic one.

Anyway, I have to start exercising and masking to get rid of the flabby fats around my face..
*back to reality*
*sian*

Hah...
Reached Mid-valley, KL on Monday.
Shopped around and everyone bought something except me. =P
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We had Se*cret*Re*ci*pi's banana chocolate cake. It costs the same as S'pore, hence its damn cheap due to the exchange rate.
Jan loves the cake.. It's quite a surprise cos she usually doesn't eat cakes.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We stayed in Cititel and it's connected to the S.C.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We went to Chili's for supper and the place reminds me of Dan Ryan's...
We had a Presidente Margarita... it taste's real good.. and you have a shaker-ful of it for RM$20 plus.. I think it's worth it..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Nachos. Yumyum.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Fooling around..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Trooped off to Penang the next day.
Go stay at the Ho*li*day*In*n there when you visit Penang..
The service was good, the rooms were great and the view was just fantabulous!!
I wake up in the morning and there was the sea greeting me..
It's good to stay there for a few days and relaxed and chill.
Wake up, eat breakfast, suntan at the beach, read your magazines, admire people playing seasports..
This is life man...... And you can even have foot reflexology or body massage by the sea if you want..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Took little pictures at the beach. Too busy bumming around. =)

We went fishing on one of the days.. It's my 1st!
Okok.. I didn't fish.. the others did. I was too freaked out at the jetty. It was high and there were no barriers between the sea and the jetty.
Sea+Heights = Dizziness.
See what i mean?
Look at my face..

Narcissism before we leave Penang.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Penang was great.
The hawker food was delicious...
The durians were shiok...
The hotel was the best...
What more can you ask for?

Digression: We watched the Chronicles*of*Narnia in Penang... It was really entertaining.
Go catch it!!!!

Before we went back to KL, we stopped over at Tai*ping, a town between Penang and Ipoh.
It was a memory lane for my mum and uncle.
For me, it was too but not as much. It has been 8 years since I last visited the place.
Anyway, I concluded that the Taiping-ians are very very hospitable and friendly.. My mum's friends treated us to dinner and breakfast just because we came to visit. The food they eat are also very bland and hence the good complexions the girls there have. Heehee...

Anyway, I ate the yummiest bobochacha ever.. though I have no idea what's the difference between that and ice kachang.
It looks like Pe*tro*nas T*win To*wers.

Jerry the bo liao..
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

We visited the Taiping Lake before we left...
Beautiful scenary eh..

We went back to my uncle's house in KL after that...
It's good to stay in KL...

The shopping malls are humongous!!!
He brought us to this new mall somewhere and we only had a few hours to shop..
We only finished one part of the place.. that's how huge it is..
Didn't buy anything for myself.. but bought a tee for KLW.
The guy's tees are so cheap there... Jerry bought quite a few tees during the trip.

You can have access to lots of pirated vcds and dvds there..
My uncle has so many in his house.....
And he lent me the whole collection of the Jewel in the Palace dvds.
He bought the original ones so I can bring it over to S'pore.
=)
Now I just need a dvd player. -_-"

I love the food.
The black mee is so delicious.. I'm missing it already.
And you can get A&W there... The ice-cream root beer is to die for...
Anyone knows why there is no A&W left in S'pore?

My uncle's dog.. Ah Fu.
I don't like animals.. But Ah Fu doesn't bite.. So it's alright.
He looks cute.. too bad I can't pinch him. Teehee..

His toy.. a tiger. There is also a plastic croc somewhere.

Ah Fu is damn bloody cute...

Anyway... I enjoyed myself tremendously this past week..
The food was the highlight of the trip since my uncle is such a food junkie.
Heehee..

Thanks Xiao Jiu!
