Reunion Dinner 2006

This day of the year, my grandma is the happiest.
All her sons, daughters, grandchildren, grandgrandchildren gather at home and celebrate the new year with her.
How I wish they can do that more often man.
She looks so happy today.
This can't be compared to me buying food for her when I come back from hall.
It's just different.

How I wish everyone can spend more time with her.
I wish I wish I wish....
But I doubt they ever will.

But it's great to see my relatives.
Though I will never be close to them..
Everyone grown so much..
The children etc.

This time of the year is the only time of the year when his wallet gets fat.

I hope my grandma can be happy everyday.

It's going to be my last day of work later so I shall indulge myself by sleeping later.
Don't know what kind of indulgence that is though.

Anyway, I'm fine now.
Surprisingly, in such a short span of time.
Hopefully everything works out man.

Although one thing is partially solved, there are many that still cling on at the back of my mind.
I'm getting fucking fat for my own good.
I thought I won't swear in my blog anymore.. but I just feel depressed.
I'm freaking shallow and I don't like to see a tummy on me.

My hair is giving me problems, and I want to see a doc about it.
And I suddenly remembered I have not booked an appointment with NSC.

If everything goes well tomorrow, and I pray that it will...
I will be relieved more than ever.

Damn.. Just when I wanted to paste the diamantes Jan bought on my hp, she announced it to the whole world.
Now I will feel like a copycat if I do the same thing.

I realised I can't work and study at the same time man.
I will be too tired to concentrate on my studies.
Don't think I will take on any part time jobs till March.
Need to concentrate on school.

My favourite holidays is nearing!!!!

I love CNY.
Love the family gatherings, can kpo about my I-see-them-once-a-year cousins, can eat bak kwa with Coke, eat pineapple tarts, eat steamboat, eat my Aunt's chilli sauce, eat abalone, do nothing for a few days except to slack in front of the tv or visit relatives, see the shopping malls almost empty blah blah blah.

I just love it!
Of course, the ang baos are a wonderful bonus to this festive season.
Tee hee.

Anyway, the CNY spirit is growing in me...
I cheer up tremendously when I hear the chinese songs blasting in the background of malls;
I have the urge to shop for new year clothes even though I'm going Bangkok to shop;
I'm making plans to ensure that I can attend my carried forward reunion dinner;
I feel restless in school and just want to hit the streets and feel the cheena cheena atmosphere;
I just feel happy for no particular reason except that it's going to be CNY soon.

*grins*

The cheerleaders were great last night.
They executed their stunts perfectly.
Just a pity they didn't win anything.
Anyway, Haoling looked kind of kinky in the uniform with the dragon tattoo and chunli's hairstyle. Teehee..
But of course, she looked the best. Hiak hiak.

I'm craving to go shopping.
Tuesday was spent in town after lessons. Supposed to catch Memoirs but it was sold out. -_-"
Didn't really have any energy to shop.. So sad.
But I was glad I ate Ding Tai Fung.

Am going to Bangkok with Mum on the 3rd day of CNY.
It's going to be a 5days 4 nights trip.

It sucks that they can't go with us.

New hairdo

Spent a lovely afternoon with Cindy and Shichao today.
Cindy bought a pair of Birkis.. Betula to be exact.
It looks fantastic on her.
She is probably the 3rd person in Singapore to own that design.

Now I know the difference between Birkenstocks and Betula.
Betula is meant for Asian feet, according to the salesperson.
The cut is smaller blah blah blah.
But why mine still looks humongous on my feet ah?

Both of us went for a hair cut.
It's damn cheap.

Had a gathering with my JC squash team today and I guess they were the ones that made my AJ life less miserable.

I envy everyone who is going back to school today.

That includes KLW, Jan and Jer. I'm alone at home with nothing to do except to wait for Jer to come home with my lunch.

I always feel that it's cool to start a new year with new books, new notes, new notebook, new teachers, new everything. The feeling of not knowing what to expect just excites me.

Anyway, I will probably not feel this way when the assignments come in, deadlines nearing, fyp not done bla bla bla..

But seriously, I really wish next monday will come faster.

I can't wait to start school.

Anyway, church friends celebrated for my mum yesterday.
We went to Kent Ridge Park for some potluck and it started pouring right after we cut the cake.

So we had to squeeze in a pavillion and eat the food and block the rain.

The last few days of 2005....

were great.
Been busy going out, meeting up with friends and chilling out.

Went ktv with my NBS friends..
Oh.. that was so fun..

Crooning, in Cindy's and Weixiong's case..

And ermm.. trying to sing, in my case.
(It has been proven again I can't sing.. sheesh..)

It was our first together and definitely not the last eh.

Anyway, it was great meeting up with my old classmates..

The next day was spent in SRC cheering the hall's rugby team. Nope.. They didn't win.. but they put on a good fight.

Rugby is a freaking violent game and maybe it was invented to torture prisoners in the past or something.
Not a game for the faint-hearted.

My skin was well-toasted by Mr Burning Sun just after one day. Hope no wrinkles appear on my face. Teehee..

And the last day was spent with my dearest..

Anyway, I learnt on Sat that...

1. Thou shalt not park the car in Orchard and chill out at Esplanade on New Year's Eve and not check the MRT schedule.

2. Thou shalt not believe what the sister says of the MRT operating till 2am.

3. Thou shalt not wear high heels on NYE in case point 1 happens and have to walk from City Hall to Wheelock Place to get the car.

Anyway, maybe it's a sign that I will have to be on my feet for the coming 2006.
Oh well..

Introbar at City Hall was real cosy. We sat there, drank beer, mocktail and champagne and enjoyed the fireworks. Jan and Jer joined us shortly after midnight and we photo-whored for quite sometime before we WALKED all the way back to town.
