The most exciting thing that happened to me today was the train stopping and I got stranded at Queenstown station, along with freaking loads of commuters.

I think it's damn entertaining and is worth the 9 bucks that we each paid.

But, don't be deceived by the poster. The 2 cute looking Jap guys on the poster looked DAMN UGLY in the movie. Hoho... Alicia kena cheated. Muahahaa...
Anyways, it's really quite a cool show and I can't wait for the sequel to come out.

We shopped around prior to the show and we each bought something from Zara.
Ali bought this really sweet and cheap black and white print dress there while I bought a simple black top with cute little details.
How can I not take photos of Miss Choy when we are out? Heehee..

Need to replenish my wardrobe cos my working attire could only last me for 2 days. -_-"
I'm so damn glad my big flat butt could fit into pants from LittleMatchGirl and Reds cos GG5 pants are atrociously expensive. =P
Although I am proud of my dress sense, I think I SUCKED at the working attire category. I kept choosing clothes that are either in black and white. So boring. Yawns. Am so old. Boos.
Me need to improve.

Other than working attire, I bought myself a pair of skinny jeans!!!
Never knew my Changi-to-Tuas wide hips can fit into one.. So I'm damn happy when I found one in FEP. Teehee...

And I got a oh-so-pretty satin dress. Fit for work and out. I'm so darn pleased. =)

One of the rare Saturdays where Koo accompanied me to shop in the AFTERNOON. He stopped working for his exams preparation and I dragged him out. Tsktsk.


Went out with the family earlier on. Mum started a tradition few weeks back where everyone gets to choose a makan place each week. This week, Jan chose Ichiban Boshi. I love their salmon asparagus sushi. Yums.

I bought a Mambo cap after lunch. It's a miracle to find caps that fit my humongous head and look good on me round face!! =)
After paying for it, I plopped it on Jan's head and she wore it around town.

Woke up in the morning to receive damn freaking GOOD news.
Mei is no longer going to be slacking around at home. Yays!
Thanks to all the prayers from my family and Mr Koo. I guess God didn't desert me after all. Teehee.. =)

Afternoon was spent watching Prison Break and drooling at Wentworth Miller.
He is so damn cute with his forever frowning face and intense gaze. *slurp*

Met Xiaomin, Chewting and Weijun in the evening for some yummy steamboat.
Weijun is so sweet.. He gave all the girls a stalk of Ferrero Rocher and Mr Koo a bar of chocolate.

Anyway, I hope they liked the steamboat. =)

Anyways, I'm real blessed to have a sweetie pie mum who went to the wet market early in the morning to buy the ingredients for the steamboat; a doting boyfriend who spoilt me like nobody's business; and cute little siblings that wanted to surprise me but failed terribly.

Big Fat OLD Mei (Part 1)

Koo celebrated my birthday with me one day in advance cos we are having steamboat tonight.

We went to town in the afternoon and tried the mooncakes at Taka Square cos we felt like snacking. Hoho.. I know we are cheapos.. But I like! =P

Proceeded to Merchant Court to have buffet dinner.
Our practice of having buffet on birthdays (excuse to gorge!) started on my 20th birthday when Koo brought me to Miramar Hotel for Japanese food. Yums. Since then, we have tried The Line at Shangri-La, Triple 3 at Meritius Mandarin and Cafe Biz at Traders Hotel. Maybe I will do a review of them someday eh? Hee...

Anyways, Ellenborough Market Cafe is really not too bad with its selection of Peranakan and International cuisine.



The 2 of us had braised shark's fins, loads and loads of salmon sashimi, lobsters, oysters, waffles with ice creams, the black glutinous rice dessert bla bla blah.. Special mention to the Nonya dishes such as Nonya popiah and the spicy beef rendang.
Overall, I think it's quite value for money since it only costs $30 plus per person.
But the 14 laps I did at Clementi Swimming Pool on Tuesday were gone to waste. =P

Our quest to eat dim sum buffet today failed miserably.
First, I was late. Then Ali wanted to try her dresses, which she did not buy. I got carried away at my favourite place. And Ali spent some time choosing a Lamborghini (correct spelling?).
Oh wells.. another time eh?

We went to Manhattan Fish something at P.S. for dinner instead where we over-ordered as usual. Almost walked out puking.
Mushroom soup. Mussels in yummy garlic sauce (smelly breath!!). Manhattan Platter for Two.
Melted cheese on fresh prawns. Yums.

Rushed our shopping (I mean Ali's) as we had 30 mins to spare before our movie. Ali bought this good-looking corset/tubetop from Future State. It's really flattering la..
But the management should do something about the sales assistant. C'mon!!! We are your customers!!! Not enemies who owe you money for goodness sake!!! Grr..... GEMS my foot la!

Caught The Departed trailer in the cinema. It's the ang moh version of Internal Affairs- the best Chinese movie in my opinion. So you have been warned if you decide to catch it.

We watched our 2nd movie- Rob-B-Hood.

It's freaking hilarious!!! And the baby is so cute.. Dion dion is the cutest Chinese baby while this baby is the cutest Mixed one. Hoho...
There are also special appearances by Daniel Wu (drools!) and Nicholas Tse (puke!). And girls can just salivate on Louis Koo though he is too tanned for my liking. Haha.. What an irony!
Ali laughed till she teared (as quoted from her) so it's really worth catching!

Very tempted to ask them if they know Kim Jung Hoon or Song Hye Gyo. Hoho... I came to realise that not all Koreans are handsome.. -_-" But I still want to be one!!!! It's just so damn cool!

Went to Block 85 for some yummy bak chor mee after the competition.
Haoling, do you know we were talking about you when you called??? So coincidental!! Very scary... Hahaha...

Anyways, my 1st memory of this bcm was when Bighead brought the whole truckload of us to eat it. I was disappointed and slightly disgusted to find this famous bcm to be soupy instead of the usual dry.
How time flies and people change. Hoho.. I lurvve it now.. I don't know why.
The springy noodles that doesn't get soggy. The meatballs. The chopped red chilli. The slurpilicious soup. Yums.

Me and Miss Hao are trying to make each other jealous with noodles. Hoho..
